Meet our Founder
Dr. Ravindranath Kancherla founded Global Hospitals in 1996 and built it into India's leading multi-organ transplant chain with over 2,000+ beds — the first institution to perform liver, heart, lung, pancreatic, and small bowel transplants in the country. Over three decades, he has performed 30,000+ laparoscopic procedures and trained over 1,000 surgeons.
He co-founded Rainbow Children's Hospital, now operating 19 hospitals across India. He established the Global Medical Education & Research Foundation that has produced 8 PhDs and 170 publications, with over 2,000+ students impacted. He chairs Laurus Labs, one of India's most respected pharma and biotech companies, and serves as Director of ImmunoACT, which delivered the country's first CAR-T cell therapy.
Each institution was built from the ground up. Each one still operates today.
